J.R. Mahon is Co-owner of Gate Creative. Gate a design and marketing firm with an emphasis on film/video production. Gate serves Ministries and clients in the Christian music industry. J.R. has spent 20 years inside the Television and Film industry. He is a 1996 region 2 POY and member of the 2000 SOY staff at KARE 11 in Minneapolis.
He started his career as a TV Photojournalist and moved through the ranks where he exited Broadcast Television as an Executive Producer for NBC in Cleveland. J.R. has traveled the world for broadcast and cable networks around the globe. He is a nationally known Producer/Photojournalist who has received television's top honors for his work.
Currently J.R./Gate are in production on a documentary that airs nationally with PBS in February.He and his wife Diane live in Hudson, Ohio with two Black Labs, Wiz and Boz.
