Bob Gould is currently the NPPA President. He has been a TV news photojournalist for 12 and a half years, the last 11 and a half at WZZM-TV, the Gannett station in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Currently, he is the Chief Photojournalist there and oversees a staff of 13. Prior to that, he was a staff photographer at WILX-TV in Lansing, Michigan. Bob served as the president of the Michigan TV News Photographers' Association (MTNPA) for 6 years.

He has a real commitment to the NPPA and photojournalism. Bob is a multi-award winner receiving numerous NPPA, MAB (Michigan Assoc. Broadcasters), and AP awards, including, "Best Individual Photojournalism" in 1998. He also has been honored with 4 EMMY nominations and one EMMY award. The WZZM staff has been honored as the MTNPA "Station of the Year" two consecutive years and runners-up three times.

Bob joined the NPPA in 1995.

And as important as the NPPA and photojournalism is, Bob's family is most important to him. He wouldn't be able to get through his daily routine without the help of his wife Susan; 6-year-old daughter, Ilene; and 1 year-old son, Isaac.
