NPPA Event Grant Program

The purpose of the NPPA Innovative Fund is to support the educational purposes and activities of NPPA.

These funds may be used to support specific educational programming that benefits, and is available to, the entire photographic community. Applications must be submitted at least 90 days prior to the program date for which the grant is requested. Applicants will be notified in a timely manner if their application has been accepted or rejected. All grant decisions are made on a nondiscriminatory basis.

Selection criteria:

The Innovative Fund supports educational programs which focus on improving the skills or enhancing the knowledge of the photographic community and are open to NPPA members and non-members alike.

Restrictions on use of funds:

Grant money must be used entirely within the educational program and cannot be applied to regular operating expenses. “Operating” includes such costs as equipment purchases, social events, member recruitment and governance.

Any funds that are not spent within the scope of the grant proposal must be returned to the NPPA. It is not permissible to apply grant money to other programs.

Eligibility:

NPPA regional groups and official chapters are eligible to receive Innovative Fund Grants. Applications must be submitted by NPPA Regional Directors or Chapter presidents. Chapters must be in full compliance and up to date with annual reporting requirements.

Size of grant:

Maximum amount of any single award is $500. No one region or chapter can receive more than two grants per calendar year.

Post-grant reports:

If awarded an NPPA Innovative Fund grant, the region or chapter will be required to submit a report including summary, attendance and feedback on the event.

NPPA logo:

It is appropriate to display the NPPA logo on all promotional materials for projects that receive NPPA funding. Contact the office for a logo file at info@nppa.org.
