2006 NPPA TV NewsVideo Workshop
March 19-24, 2006

Dear 2006 Workshop Confirmed Attendees,
The Workshop is about a week away and as The Workshop Co-Director I thought I would go over a couple of reminders to all of you.
First off registration starts at 9:30am Sunday at the Forum Building on the campus of The University of Oklahoma. The Workshop begins at 1pm SHARP in the Forum building. You are encouraged to come early and register first thing Sunday.
When you register you will be given an ID badge for the week. This is because we have Norman Police securing our facility and gear for the week. If you loose the ID it will cost you $10.00 to get replaced. . By the way, The NPPA Workshop is not responsible for gear you bring, be sure to take extra security measures with your gear at all times
Equipment; this year we are lucky to have the good folks at Avid Technology, Casablanca and Panasonic loaning us editing and playback equipment. You are encouraged to bring your own editing and edit in your hotel rooms. We will provide editing and playback of the following NTSC formats: Sony DVCam, Sony BetaCam, Sony Beta SP, Panasonic DVCPro 25/50 and Panasonic P2. All on site will be on either Avid NewsCutter XP or Casablanca. You will NOT need your cameras Sunday, the first day of The Workshop.
Folks who are not coming as a shoot and edit participant are encouraged to sign up at registration for a VHS critique of their work. The people who are shooting assignments this week will be critiqued on what they shoot during the week.
We are looking forward to meeting you on Sunday March 19th!!!!!
