This "one of a kind" NewsVideo Workshop teaches todays photojournalist how to survive and thrive in our ever changing industry. The internationally recognized faculty includes NPPA award recipients, network correspondents and photojournalists; and current news professionals facing daily deadlines and real-life challenges just like you! NBC Correspondents Bob Dotson and John Larson, legendary photographers Bob Brandon and Darrell Barton and many others donate their time to make this an educational experience like no other. The NewsVideo Workshop's mission is to teach upcoming and working television photographers, editors, reporters and producers tricks and techniques to keep storytelling fresh, compelling and alive. You'll Work Hard
The NewsVideo Workshop is intense. Participants spend 12 to 16 hours daily in sessions with a faculty of over 30 award winning photojournalists. Participants at all levels attend all formal sessions, receive one-on-one critiques, and have opportunities to interact with staff and others on an informal level.
Success begins when you understand the story you're about to shoot.
What to Expect
The NewsVideo Workshop immerses everyone in video from start to finish. The Workshop helps beginners build a solid foundation of technical and storytelling skills. More experienced attendees fine tune writing, shooting, editing and production skills, and veterans get batteries recharged. Bring an open mind, a willingness to learn new skills, and energy to make it through the week. The NPPA NewsVideo Workshop turns shooters into photojournalists and changes lives forever!
