Biographical Statement	I like to work with aspiring photojournalists who enjoy discovering the art and science of one of the most fascinating and dynamic professions on the planet. I am currently mentoring the public affairs directorate staff of the Afghanistan Ministry of Interior (and Afghan National Police) in Kabul. Previously, I served as Chief of Public Affairs, Strategic Communications & History for the Alaska Department of Military & Veterans Affairs for more than 20 years, garnering numerous awards and accolades; was founding managing editor for Warriors Magazine. Also taught as Adjunct Professor, in communications, with University of Alaska Anchorage for 17 years. Photojournalism is still my true love - revealing the heart and emotion of our fellow human beings is just simply one of the best careers there is!
