NPPA Objects: PATCO Web Site Equates Photography With Terrorism
The Port Authority Transit Corporation (PATCO) posted on its Web site that photography is a "suspicious activity." In a strongly-worded letter, NPPA's general counsel voiced the organization's Advocacy Committee's objection to photography being "suspicious or somehow being equated to terrorist activities.".. more

Call For NPPA National Officers
The National Press Photographers Association is still accepting nominations for national officers, NPPA national secretary Denise McGill reminds members. NPPA's board of directors will meet January 21-22 at NPPA's headquarters in Durham, NC, and during the meeting the board will elect a president and vice president who will serve one-year terms. In even numbered years (such as 2012) the board also elects a national secretary for a two-year term.. more |
