Amtrak's Newly Published Photo Guidelines Developed With NPPA's Input: Back in January the National Press Photographers Association asked Amtrak to stop harassing photographers... Since then NPPA has been working the Amtrak Police to formulate Amtrak's new photography guidelines. The railroad's attorney told NPPA that "all of your recommendations were incorporated into the guidelines ...". He also said that NPPA's recommendations "made substantive improvements" in their new policies... more
SF Chronicle, Guild, Reach Deal That Might Prevent Closing: The San Francisco Chronicle and the California Media Workers Guild have reached a tentative agreement on contract concessions which may stave off Hearst trying to sell or close the newspaper... more
