Nominations Open For NPPA Odd-Numbered Regions

 

DURHAM, NC (August 4, 2011) – NPPA's Governance Committee is accepting nominations for Regions 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 for Regional Chair and Associate Chair, NPPA national secretary Denise McGill has announced.

If you are interested, or know someone who is, please contact McGill at secretary@nppa.org.

Nominations are open through August 31. Elections take place in November. To be eligible for election to regional office, a member must be an NPPA Professional member in good standing for at least one year prior to being nominated, McGill said. Terms last two years, or until a successor is elected.

"Regional leaders are the lifeline of NPPA in their geographic area," McGill said. "It is up to them to build community and reach out to their members.

"If you are someone who has ideas for improving your region, then consider running for a regional office. If you know someone else who has great ideas, you can nominate them, or consider running together. Please take this opportunity to make a difference in your area."
