Nominations Open For Two NPPA Board Seats

 

DURHAM, NC (August 2, 2011) – The National Press Photographers Association is accepting nominations for Board of Directors until August 31, NPPA national secretary Denise McGill announced today.

Two seats will be vacated at the end of 2011. The seats are currently held by board members Scott Mc Kiernan and Jim Michalowski. At the end of their terms, they are allowed to run again, McGill said.

Elections will be held in November to fill the two seats. Interested NPPA members may nominate themselves. To nominate someone for the Board, contact McGill at secretary@nppa.org.

There are a total of six elected directors, who serve three-year terms. Two directors are up for election each November.

To be eligible for election to the Board of Directors, a member must be an NPPA Professional or Student Member in good standing for at least one year prior to being nominated.
