The Visual Student: New NPPA Blog Launches

 

DURHAM, NC (September 15, 2009) – A new NPPA blog for photojournalism students has been launched on NPPA's Web site this week, The Visual Student.

The blog launched with interviews from various photography directors – including Russ Kendall of the Bellingham Herald, Sherman Zent of the St. Petersburg Times, and Chris Wilkins of The Dallas Morning News – about what they expect from their incoming college interns.

Also in the inaugural issue, 2008 College Photographer of the Year Tim Hussin tells students how to edit their portfolios for the CPOY contest.
