Poynter To Publish Historic Collection Of Election Front Pages

 

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (November 10, 2008) – The Poynter Institute for Media Studies, in partnership with Andrews McMeel Publishing, is producing a book of 75 newspaper front pages commemorating the election of Barack Obama.

The front pages are still being selected and if you want your newspaper's front page to be considered for the book, send an eMail to electionbook@poynter.org along with permission to use the page royalty-free; a PDF of the November 5 2008 front page (or a high resolution TIF or JPEG file); contact information; whether your newspaper would like a banner or title advertisement and bulk sales information so that your paper can sell the book through your own Web site; and your newspaper's postal mailing address.

Poynter says the book will be available before Christmas and that proceeds will help support Poynter training classes.
