Wednesday Final Day For 2008 Airborne Seminar Pre-Registration

 

DURHAM, NC (October 14, 2008) – Wednesday is the deadline for faxed registrations for the NPPA's 2008 Airborne TV Seminar, but walk-in registrations will also be welcomed at the door in both Wichita, KS, and Portland, OR.

This year's Airborne seminar makes its first stop in Wichita, KS, on October 17 and 18, at KSN-TV with critiques (DVDs only please) on the first night and the seminar on the second day.

The second stop in Portland, OR, at The Turnbull Center on the Portland campus of the University of Oregon, offers critiques (DVDs only please) on Saturday evening October 18 and the seminar on Sunday October 19.

This year's theme is "Storytelling In Tough Times," and to prove the point two of the speakers have experienced layoffs in the last year.

Speakers include NPPA's Ernie Crisp Television News Photographer of the year Scott Jensen, from KTUU-TV in Anchorage, AK; NPPA Video Editor of the Year Shawn Montano from KWGN-TV in Denver, CO; Peter Rosen, winner of this year's NPPA Reporter of the Year Award, who until recently worked for KUTV in Salt Lake City, UT; and Deborah Potter, executive director of the NewsLab in Washington, DC.
