ROCHESTER, NY (March 15, 2008) - Winners of the Northern Short Course 2008 Photo Contest were announced today and Stephen Katz of The Virginian-Pilot is the Photographer of the Year, John Freidah of The Providence Journal won Best of Show, and The Hartford Courant was named Newspaper of the Year.
In other news from the NSC this weekend, Michelle McLoughlin of New Haven, CT, NPPA's Region 1 director, was selected to be the new Northern Short Course chair, replacing Damon Kiesow who has served in the post since 2002. McLoghlin was elected by the NSC board during their annual meeting on Friday.
