Multimediashooter.com Hacked, Gone

SAN JOSE, CA (March 10, 2008) - Richard Koci Hernandez, author of the book "Multimedia Journal" and creator and publisher of the popular Web site Multimediashooter.com, announced this weekend that the Web site is "down for the count."

Hernandez sent out an eMail that said hackers took the site down several times in the past few days, and that severe damage had been done, and that he does not have the time or resources to restore the site.

"I wish you all the best. I only wish this hadn't happened ... To those of you who supported the site over the years, thank you."

Multimediashooter.com was a popular resource for photojournalists who are trying to learn new multimedia skills and to shoot video for the Web. Hernandez, a frequent winner of NPPA awards for his multimedia work and a speaker at NPPA educational seminars, is the deputy director of photography for multimedia for the San Jose Mercury News.
