Registration Opens For Advanced Team Storytelling Workshop

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (February 6, 2008) - Registration is open for the Advanced Team Storytelling Workshop, which will be held from Sunday April 13 through Friday April 18, 2008, at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

NPPA past president Steve Sweitzer says the week-long program is designed for experienced reporter/photographer teams, and will teach creativity on deadline; enterprising of hard-news stories; techniques for achieving personal growth; and the value of teamwork.

Faculty for the workshop includes three-time NPPA Television News Photographer of the Year John Goheen; veteran and award-winning reporter Bev Chapman; Murrow and Emmy Award-winner Boyd Huppert from KARE-TV; two-time NPPA Television News Photographer of the Year winner Jonathan Malat from KARE-TV; NPPA Television News Photographer of the Year winner Scott Rensberger; Murrow Award-winner John Sharify of Seattle, recognized as one of the country's top news writers; and Sweitzer.

During the week, teams will develop story ideas and research, report and shoot complete packages, followed by critiques and one-on-one sessions.
