Make a Charitable Donation to Photojournalists impacted by Hurricane Katrina

The NPPA, along with the NPPF are announcing a joint effort to help photojournalists displaced from Hurricane Katrina. There are many photojournalists dealing with so many issues down there. Many have lost their homes; others have lost jobs; some have been separated from their families; We are here to assist these folks in this time of need.

The 3 stops of the Flying Short Course will hold print auctions and proceeds from that will go to this fund.

The deadline to donate funds for this effort is Friday, October 7th, 2005.

Those wanting to request funds will be able to do so starting September 16th. Visit nppa.org at that time for application and disbursement information.

All photojournalists affected by Katrina may apply for funds, but NPPA members will have priority.

A committee is being set up to help disburse the funds. Donations should be sent to the NPPF (National Press Photographers Foundation), which is an approved 501(c)(3) Charity. All donations are tax deductible.
