The NPPA Television Quarterly Clip Contest recognizes outstanding work performed by NPPA members on a quarterly basis and is open to all active and currently paid members of the National Press Photographers Association. It is a contest by photographers for photographers. Entries are judged by a panel of your peers.
In 2009 the National Press Photographers Association launched a national quarterly contest especially for local TV news one man bands - the Solo Video Contest
Congratulations David Delozier of KUSA in Denver!
The 4th quarter results just came back and it's official - Dave is the NPPA's first ever Solo Video Journalist of the Year.
Dave is a 34 year photojournalism veteran. He is a 5 time NPPA Regional Photographer of the Year and has contributed to KUSA's many Station of the Year honors.
In 1988 the NPPA named him Ernie Crisp Photographer of the Year.
In 2008, in the face of industry wide changes, Dave reinvented himself and became a full time solo video journalist. Since that decision, Dave has set the standard for one-man-bands in local television news. Thank you Dave for your commitment to quality.

( Solo video journalists may enter the Solo Video Contest on a quarterly basis - one or two clips per quarter submitted in three different categories. Please contact Scott Jensen if you're interested in learning more about the 2010 contest
