Judges’ comments for the category

As is often the case, sports is strong, and we found a good range of peak sports action and things that look past the bruises on the field. No letting go is very strong because of the moment, the fact the player is entirely suspended in air, and his face is clear. Good peak action. Huddle works as our #2 because of the light, the moment, the angle. A strong take on a common shot, well handled. Head Save depicts such an odd moment, and does it so well, that we thought it deserved its place. Anybody who knows soccer will know what has just happened.
