Seniors display fashion creations such as a ball gown, bloomers, house coat, straw hat and g-string shown during the opening ceremony for the 4th annual Flushing Red Hat Day at the Flushing Senior Center.

Judges’ comments for the category

We felt this was a fairly weak category--a couple entries seemed to belong elsewhere. Red Hat Style was great fun because of the subjects themselves, and the funky arrangement. Solid illustration. Gretchen S. worked well, but was less creative in the ways that illustrations should be. Heart Disease is clear, simple, and works. What else can we do with the idea?
