Our first place winner in this category was unique…and that is what made this story stand above the others. The story was interesting. The use of subtitles was not distracting. Nice use of nat sound, the story drew us in visually.

There were quite a few entries in this category, yet only a few stood out. As in the photography category it came down to natural sound-who used the most natural moments in their stories and how is it different from the rest of them.
The story we chose for number 1 was set apart from the rest, the beginning was clearly different, it really set the tone for the story and held our attention on the entire story. The second and third were more difficult, focusing on moments and clear storytelling we had a rough time deciding between them. Once again our attention turned to ending shots, so many stories lacking the visual wrap up.
