Judge's Comments
- Frozen Basketball
- As an entire picture story package the judges felt that the New York Times piece captured the story and delivered it. Telling the stories with audio of the players added to the package in a way that the other entries could not match. Great use of images and voice over editing made the piece enjoyable to the user without being too long. The photos themselves were not cropped and moved across the viewable area to give you a full perspective of the shot which also added to the user experience.
- The Boys Are Back
- Great photos and the nice use of audio from the ballpark helped tell the story of the baseball season. Although it had the same components as the first place finisher in this category, the judges felt that the audio and images could have been better and more tightly edited.
