Judges' Comments
- 1st Place: Haiti Turns 200
- The photos were dramatic and compelling, telling a story and capturing the emotion of Haiti in these essays. Easy to use navigation with an option to view the caption allowed the photos to be seen entirely.
- One negative note; It was very difficult to find the pieces on Blueeyes Magazine. Navigation needs to be clearer, especially for the new user.
- 2nd Place: Bush vs Kerry - The Love Issue
- The images captured both sides of the story very well. Nice compositions put together in an orderly fashion make it easy for the viewer to understand and see both sides equally.
- Honorable Mention: Justly Married
- Nice topic. Good navigation with thumbnails to see next and previous selections, with visible captions which allow the viewer to see the information without detracting from the composition. The photos were a bit redundant, however, which weighed against it in the judging.
