Judges' Comments
First choice was unanimous. Last Days, Last Rays succeeded in the one of the three areas we focused on: photo content. The photos were notable for their deep saturated color, subtle moments and unpredictable compositions. The soundtrack complimented the images with voices and sound that deepened and gave texture to the visuals. The design of the package, however, could have been improved by a lede photo or stronger typography on the main loading page. As is, the type is difficult to read and doesn't give the user a strong inclination to move forward.
The panel's second choice, Asian Journey: In Search of the Sublime : Misty Mountain Top, reflected the photographer's ability to capture the tiny town of Bhutan. Though the design used a template reminiscent of a 1996 approach, the beautiful photos gained the favor of judges.
