Judge's Comments
- 1st Place - 2004 Campaign in Pictures, nytimes.com
- The judges agreed that this multimedia presentation of the campaign was the most well put together in this category. The package offered plenty of multimedia and information presented with audio, video, photography, and information graphics. Because of the overall presentation and ease of navigation and well thought out topics, this piece was the overall choice for first place.
- 2nd Place - Republican National Convention, usatoday.com
- A very ambitious multimedia package which gave the viewer a look at real people in their own voices. Nice tight presentation, easy navigation, nice use of audio, and clean info graphics added to a piece which was very well done.
- 3rd Place - Campaign Moments, nytimes.com
- A different approach to campaign packages is presented here. This one from The Times offered a photographer's eye view of this and previous campaigns' winners and losers. The package was very informative and a nice piece which touched on subjects that werent addressed in the other multimedia packages. Nice use of audio and images captured the moments very well. The lack of video and interaction weighed in on the judging of this piece, however.
