PEACEFUL ORPHANS - Napping orphans at the Cherith International Children's Center in Freetown, Sierra Leone. The bed is about the size of American king size. Others are orphaned due to poor economic conditions or disease. African adoption by Americans is a small phenomena. Since the late 1990s, 150 Sierra Leone orphans have been adopted by Americans.
