"Fallen Marine Returns Home To Connecticut" - Standing on a frozen tarmac, Amanda Jordan reacts to the image of the flag-draped casket of her fallen husband, U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Phillip Andrew Jordan, whose remains arrive to Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Conn. on March 31, 2003. Sgt. Jordan, 42, became the first Connnecticut casualty in Operation Iraqi Freedom when he was ambushed in Nasiriyah, Iraq on March 23, 2003. Buried with full military honors in Enfield, Connecticut, Sgt. Jordan leaves behind his wife and their six-year-old son, Tyler. He was promoted to gunnery sergeant posthumously.
